DevOps Engineer

Have you ever contacted a call center in Hungary? Then it’s likely your call passed through VCC Live’s cloud contact center software. Our platform powers the majority of Hungary’s call centers and is used in over 50+ countries worldwide.

We are looking for a senior DevOps Engineer who brings more than just technical expertise to the table. In this role, you won’t just maintain servers, you will be the strategic bridge connecting our Software and System teams. If you are comfortable managing complex architectures (NATS, Consul, Docker Swarm) and want to shape our processes using AI and modern observability tools, this is your opportunity to make an impact on our engineering culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Act as the primary bridge between System and Software teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Stabilize, unify, and maintain our development, test, and staging environments.
  • Take full operational control of the release process and reduce the daily operational load on developers.
  • Take ownership of Docker Swarm and general deployment/maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee the full release lifecycle by managing GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure with Puppet, and ensuring system visibility via Sentry and Grafana.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Demonstrates solid expertise in Docker Swarm, NATS, Consul, and observability tools such as Grafana and Sentry.
  • Takes full responsibility for infrastructure stability with a thorough, thoughtful, and deliberate approach.
  • Actively shares knowledge and provides hands-on support to colleagues when challenges arise.
  • Applies AI and modern tools to optimize workflows and reduce operational loads.
  • Contribute actively to Architect and Tech OpenSpace sessions as a lead or presenter.
  • Communicates fluently in Hungarian and possesses strong professional English capabilities.
