Senior QA automation engineer

We’re looking for a senior QA automation engineer with strong developer aproach to join a talented team that’s design testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install databases, and collaborate with the software design team.

On a busy day, VCC Live’s multichannel platform handles millions of calls, text messages, and emails – and our channels continue to grow with the likes of WhatsApp, Messenger, and more. As we offer a highly customizable solution, we’re always adding to our integration capabilities and our no-code configurability is a huge benefit for our clients who afford us with an NPS of 80+.

This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing this level of experience and will provide invaluable support as VCC Live continues on its journey of international growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Create and implement Test Automation strategy, plan, develop and maintain test automation framework..
    • Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
    • Checking if the software meets architectural requirements, develops and automates tests for software validation, ensures the high quality of the system, interacts with developers and validation engineers.
    • Develop the best automation solutions based on the clients’ requirements. Mentor and train engineering teams to effectively adapt Test Automation.
    • Overseeing all aspects of Quality Assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices and processes to ensure our quality goals are met and exceeded.
    • You’ll be expected to get involved in the User Story definition process and write test scenarios.
    • Encouraging the team to bring a quality perspective to planning sessions and helping to ensure test effort is taken into consideration.
    • Collaborate with the other teams and departments to help achieve our success.

WHO YOU ARE

    • Have at least 5 years of QA experience in test automation including scripting and framework creation.
    • You have a strong developer approach and ability to build develop and maintain a test system
    • You have a strong automation expertise, with hands-on experience in functional,  regression and E2E testing for UI and API.
    • Have a solid understanding of testing strategies (TDD, BDD, Practical Test Pyramid, …).
    • Good understanding of CI/CD methodology and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
    • Conversational level English (both written and spoken).
    • Fluent in Hungarian

     

    Knowledge of the following technologies or practices will be an advantage: 

    • Telecommunications knowledge
    • ISTQB certification
    • Knowledge of TypeScript or Go
